Power Venturing into Foreign Territory

Wind driven rain pelted us from infront. Behind me the culmination of thousands of years of marine engineering pushed with all of its eight horsepower might. We had ventured into foreign territory with the wrong tool for the job. As a sailor, I had come to view open water with relative comfort, making the beautiful shorelines of the Kawartha Lakes feel claustrophobic. We had spent an overcast morning picking our way through a well marked but tedious section of Buckhorn and now the rain had come again. And I was having the time of my life.
